I'm about to order a Grizzly cabinet saw. Unless you can persuade me not to do so? JohnO so twisted my arm about contractor's saws that they are no longer an option. Pouring over the catalogues, it seems to me that the best bang for the buck is the Grizzly. I don't have the exact model # in front of me right now, but it is their left tilt model, 3 hp, w/ the 50" fence system, sans extra table. It's on sale now for $950, which beats Delta by quite a bit.
Any thoughts from you savvy buyers? TIA,

My step father has a grizzly cabinet saw. A heavy beast of a thing. Runs
really smooth and has cut great for about 2 years now. All the tools, with
the exception of a bandsaw, I've got from grizzly have been great.

I've been using a Grizzly table saw for the past 15 years or so and it hasn't let me down. I'm sure it's not the same model your talkin about since it was about $350 on sale 15 years ago but it has been a good saw. This sounds like a good deaal, I'd go for it, especially since it sounds like ya got the wife convinced. I had to promise to build a dining room table with my table saw and it handled the job just fine.

I don't remember if this John O did any arm twistin, but yea I would go with the cabinet saw.

I love my 10" Grizzly 3hp left tilt.

Here is a little review that is something like the one I read that put me over top to place the order a couple of years ago ... no regrets with that choice.

I've had my 3HP Griz left tilt for 5 years and it has run flawlessly. I don't have the 50" extension, just the stock fence. It is extremely heavy but very solid, accurate and repeatable. The lift tilt took some getting use to having just come from a Jet Contractors saw for the previous 15+ years. I would buy another one in a New York Minute. Go for it, you won't regret it!

We get the same saw in oz but with a different name on the front. The ones that we get are made on the same production line as the grizzly, the only real difference, or so I understand, is that the grizzly manual is better so people here just download that and use it instead. Oh, and ours are blue.

I've been researching table saws for the last six months or so (waiting on a cheque that has finally arrived!), I've never heard (or read) a bad word about them and have come to the same conclusion - on a bang for your bucks basis, they are pretty hard to beat. I'll be buying one myself in the next week or so.

You guys are mighty persuasive, and comforting as well. (If it's a lemon, I can blame you, right?)

   I like thier stuff. I use alot of it and it works well for me. thier customer service is also top notch.

I don't have any Grizzly tools, but a friend of mine who runs a tool and die company with all the high end stuff at work swears by Grizzly for his home workshop. From what I hear, their quality has gone way up from a few years ago.

Have alot of Griz tools and only thing not impressed with is the 14" bandsaw. Love shaper at shop and use 16" drum sander (going to go bigger in future as now spoiled to the wide belt)
